How ATP and WTA Stars are Staying Busy!

The tour is officially on hold for at least six weeks – both WTA and ATP. So, what are our favorite stars up to? Luckily, we have Instagram and Twitter, where we can check in on them on an hourly basis. While some are more prone to share than others, most of the stars share on a consistent basis. Do you blame them? They have global brands to curate! I’m sure their agents and management companies are consistently hassling them to stay on top of social media. Many of them have people to do this for them. Either way, I love following them all and seeing what they are up to off the court.

Tsitsipas seems to be adding some interesting aspects to his training. This is coming in the form of boxing. Check out Stefanos getting his boxing workout out while waiting this out. Look out!

Maybe Tsitsipas should take a page from the most aggressive player in the last 10 years: Stan Wawrinka is seen drinking coffee and eating fondue. However, he also sends us a good message to keep smiling and stay home.

Alison Riske seems to be spending her time doing some good juggling with some tide detergent. I don’t know what that’s all about. Maybe she’s trying to start a trend like the Europeans, where they are doing the “juggling toilet paper” challenge. I’ve seen two tennis players do this challenge, Schwartzman and Monfils, and much like the World Cup in 2018, France completely owns this contest.

Medvedev seems to be spending his quarantine time lifting weights in some garage in Russia. Very fitting

Dominic Thiem, unlike everyone else, seems to be on a tennis court. Hint. Hint. To the rest of the field. He’s not clowning around.

Finally, there’s Rafa Nadal. This message most definitely came from his people, and simply stated that he was well, at home, hitting the Gym and following the recommendations of the Spanish authorities to stay home.

Which brings me to my last point, the French Open just announced that it is now postponed until September, immediately after the Laver Cup. Rumor has it many players are not happy, one of those players being Nadal. We’ll see how that shakes out.

In the meantime, what better way to entertain yourself during self-quarantine than to check out Moments and News in the TennisPAL app!
