Are Babolat Rackets the Best in the Business
If you’re a tennis player, then you know that having the right racket can make all the difference in your game. There are a lot of different brands out there, but one that always seems to come up in conversation is Babolat. In my life it has come up so often that my entire family are now Babolat players.
Complete disclosure though, they are Babolat players mainly because of me. I recently transitioned from the Wilson Blade to the Babolat PureStrike and never looked back! The easy power, comfort and overall feel of the racket was what sold me. Let’s take a quick look at what makes these rackets so special.
Babolat is a French company that has been making stings since 1875, and rackets since 1994. Babolat makes both steel and composite rackets, so there’s sure to be one that’s right for your playing style. They also have a line of ” junior” rackets for younger players. My eight-year-old is playing with the 24-inch PuerAero. He says he feels like Carlos Alcaraz on the court. I’m not going to argue that.
However, I’m also not going to argue the fact that Babolat rackets are used by some of the top professional players in the world, including Rafael Nadal, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Danielle Collins. That definitely says something about the quality of their products. But what about the price? Babolat rackets definitely aren’t cheap, but I would not let that deter you. As a high-end racket, this brand delivers on all fronts. Just look at Nadal’s results on the court.
Let’s take a look at some of the best sellers in their lineup:
1. Babolat Pure Aero 2023: Babolat Pure Aero racquets are ideal for players who want to penetrate the court with pace and spin. The racket is firm and lively and feels fast. The Pure Aero series allows for effortless raw power. Offering a variety of weights, anyone from a beginning player to the advanced one can benefit from the racket. Both my wife, who’s an intermediate player, and my eight-year-old use this racket.
2. Babolat PureAero Rafa: Endorsed by Rafael Nadal, is the same racket as the Pure Aero, the only difference here is the paint job. So, if you want to jump onto the court Rafa style, this racket is for you.
3. Babolat Pure Strike: This is the racket I use. So does Dominic Thiem! With its Hybrid Beam Construction, the Babolat Pure Strike series offers more control and feel than the Pure Drive and Aero franchises. These racquets also offer impressive stability for the weight and optimized string spacing to enhance spin and power. I feel that this racket provides nice control and power.
4. Babolat Pure Drive: The Babolat Pure Drive series lies somewhere between the Pure Aero and the Babolat Pure Strike. I would say that it has elements of both rackets, however, it tends to be more closely related to the Pure Aero.
So what are you waiting for, get to Tennis Warehouse and buy yourselves one of these high-end sticks, you won’t be disappointed. Also, right now they are running a sale!
