The quarterfinals are upon us. After an amazing week of men’s tennis, the three favorites, Djokovic, Medvedev, and Zverev are still alive and well. Let’s look at the matchups:

Van de Zandschulp vs. Medvedev (2)
This will be a David vs. Goliath matchup. Van de Zandschulp is a qualifier that is punching well above his weight. This narrative stops with Medvedev though. Medvedev has been destroying the opposition in clinical fashion for four rounds now. It’s been straight sets for all his wins. There’s no indication this won’t be any different. Medvedev wins in straight sets.

Auger-Aliassime (12) vs. Alcaraz
This matchup consists of two players that will feature at the top of men’s tennis for years to come. These two youngsters are on the up and up. Although Auger-Aliassime will be the favorite here due to his experience and mature game, Alcaraz will be a difficult customer. Already notching a signature win during this tournament, dispatching number three seed Tsitsipas, Alcaraz will be looking to be the youngest semifinalist in US Open history. Brace yourself for a mega matchup between these two. They will leave it all on the court. Auger-Aliassime wins in five.

Zverev (4) vs. Harris
Zverev continues his quest for the first Grand Slam of his career. He’s not too far off either. He played one tune up before the US Open, taking the title in Cincinnati in dominating fashion. He’s also fresh of a gold medal run at the Olympics, where he beat Novak Djokovic in convincing fashion. At the US Open, he’s had little trouble as he heads into his Quarterfinal match with Harris. Harris has had a good run, but it ends here. Zverev wins in straight sets.

Berrettini (6) vs. Djokovic (1)
This will be a highly entertaining match, with Berrettini coming hard after Djokovic with his hard-hitting game. At this stage though, Djokovic can absorb pretty much anything from anyone. Berrettini has had another nice run at a major though, and we’re sure to see more of him late in majors in the next few years. Djokovic will win in four sets.
